Closing Information

For Purchase and Sale of Real Estate

• Contract of Sale.
• Copy of the Prior Title Policy.
• Buyer's and Seller's Full Name, Addresses and Phone Numbers.
• Mortgage Lender, Name of Loan Officers and Phone Numbers.
• Seller's Current Mortgage Lender and Loan Number.
• Homeowners Association's Name, Address and Phone Number.
• Realtor's Names, Realtor Company, Address and Phone Numbers.

For Refinancing

• Cashiers or Certified check must be brought to the closing for the amounts you must pay, not a personal check.
• Bring an original homeowner's insurance policy to the closing, along with a paid receipt for the first year's premium. If you are refinancing a condominium, bring a certificate of insurance instead that can be obtained from your condo or property management company.
• Contact your lender before the closing regarding any additional requirements that must be satisfied prior to closing.
• Personal identification in the form of a driver's license or other government issued identification with your picture and signature on it must be brought to the closing.
• If you have an existing mortgage or mortgages, a current payoff letter or letters must be presented at closing.
• If you are going to be paying off credit card balances at the closing, the most current statements must be brought to the closing.
